Original figurative mixed media painting on grey paper, unframed. Made using black acrylic, Sennelier copper and gold oil pastel and chalk. Size 49 cm x 49 cm (19.25" x 19.25"). Certificate of Authenticity. Deliver carefully rolled in a mailing tube. The art work is part of a new series of paintings inspired by Constantin Brancusi's sculptures. My painting "Sisters" is inspired by the graceful and elegant sculpture "Mademoiselle Pogany", portrait of Margit Pogany, a Hungarian artist who posed for him in Paris.
I admire very much C.Brancusi (1876-1957). He was a Romanian sculptor, painter and photographer who made his career in France. Considered a pioneer of modernism, one of the most influential sculptors of the 20th-century, Brancusi is called the patriarch of modern sculpture.
